Opening hours

Museum Speelklok is open every Tuesday to Sunday from 10.00 to 17.00.

School holidays

During official school holidays, the museum is also open on Mondays from 10.00 to 17.00.

Public holidays

The museum is open on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, Liberation Day (May 5), Ascension Day, Whit Sunday and Whit Monday, Christmas Eve (until 16.00), Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve (until 16.00).

Museum Speelklok is closed on New Year’s Day, King’s Day (April 27) and Christmas Day.

Do you have a question regarding our collection or own instruments? Please let us know via email address collectievraag@museumspeelklok.nl, giving a description of the object and if possible, include a photograph too. We do not handle valuation requests or enquiries regarding objects that are not mechanical musical instruments. We only handle restoration requests that could lead to a valuable exchange of knowledge.

By public transport
Museum Speelklok is a 10-minute walk from Utrecht Central Station. From the station, you can also take city bus 2 going to ‘Museumkwartier’ and get off at the Domplein stop. From here, it is a 4-minute walk to the museum.

By car
From the Springweg and Hoog Catharijne car parks, it is a 10-minute walk to the museum. Want to avoid the traffic in the city centre? Then use P+R Utrecht. With a day pass, you can park at one of the P+R locations and travel to the city centre by public transport.

By bike
Park your bike close to the museum in the free covered bike park on Zadelstraat. You can also park your bike behind the museum on Buurkerkhof.
