Museum Speelklok brings its music machines into Roblox
Museum Speelklok will become one of the first museums in the Netherlands to step into the metaverse through a Roblox game.
The new game, ‘Music Machine Monster’, is inspired by the museum’s extraordinary collection of historical music machines, blending the worlds of music and technology. The game will officially be launched on Wednesday October 23.
In ‘Music Machine Monster’, players aged 8 and up can explore the fascinating world of music machines and discover the technology behind them. This is the same kind of technology that powers everyday objects like cars, smartphones, and many other devices. The game allows players to build a music machine to compete with others By launching this game on Roblox, Museum Speelklok brings the marvels of music machines to a young, global audience, showing how technology drives everything in life and how it can be used to create something as magical as music.
About Music Machine Monster
Developed by immersive studio Broken Egg, ‘Music Machine Monster’ is an adventure game set in the enchanted realm of the Speelklok Islands, where players embark on a quest to restore harmony after a musical disaster. Inspired by the music machines of Museum Speelklok, players will collect artifacts, learn about sound sources and programs, and confront a villain who was once a brilliant inventor.
With three islands, nine quests, and a final boss battle, the game combines learning with fun, including both single-player and multiplayer quests.
