Craft your own musical box
Visit Museum Speelklok during the spring holidays and play an organ or visit the exhibition Make it Work!
Craft your own musical box
From February 10 to 25 you can craft your own unique musical box! With a kit you can get started to make a beautiful musical box that you can take home with you. At the cash register you can buy a small box with a cheerful melody and a construction kit. Decorate your music box in your own way! Additional costs for the activity are € 6.25, which includes the musical box and construction kit.
Exhibition Make it Work
In the new exhibition Make it Work, designers Christien Meindertsma, Jesse Howard and Jelle Mastenbroek use their work to enter into a dialogue with our historical collection about major dilemmas such as sustainability. Designer Simon Dogger made an audio tour of Make it Work which shows how he experiences the museum’s instruments with a visual impairment.
Speelklok Roadshow
Spin an organ, discover the history of street organs and make music yourself with the Speelklok Roadshow! From February 17 to 24, this mini-museum on wheels will be in the Nave of the museum every day from 11.00 to 16.00.
Other activities during the spring holidays
In addition, there is much more to do in Museum Speelklok during the spring holidays! Listen to the organs, musical boxes and clocks during the Musical Tour, hunt for organ monkey Toon and compose a song yourself in the Music Factory.
Opening hours
Museum Speelklok is open every day during the spring holidays, including Mondays, February 12 and 19.
